Solace · The Aurelle solitaire
One round brilliant in four tapered platinum claws, catching every street lamp between Holborn and home.
The house
We choose every stone by hand, set it at one bench, and polish it with the same hands that set it. Then London hallmarks it, and it is yours for life.
The stone
A 1.02 carat round brilliant, filmed on velvet under a single moving light. Move across the film, or use the slider, and watch how a well-cut stone throws light back to the eye.
1.02 ct · E colour · VVS1 · Excellent cut
Four collections
Platinum and 18ct gold only. Each piece comes back to us every year for a complimentary claw check and clean.
One round brilliant, four tapered claws, sized to the quarter.
Eleven matched stones, grain-set flush so it sits close against an engagement ring.
A floating stone inside a single gold orbit, on a trace chain from 40 to 45 cm.
A deliberately unequal pair, larger for one ear and smaller for the other. Or matched, if you prefer.
The atelier
No piece leaves until the person who set the stone signs it off.
Bespoke
Bring a stone you love, or an idea on the back of an envelope. We sketch with you, fit a wax model on your finger before anything is cast, and hand you the finished piece six to eight weeks later.
Diamonds
Choose a weight, colour and clarity. We draw it beside a 1p coin and give an indicative price in a Solace platinum setting.
Drawn to scale beside a UK 1p coin, 20.3 mm
Aftercare
Bring it back each year. We check, tighten and clean every claw, free of charge.
Once within the first year, in our own workshop, usually within a week.
Every stone over 0.30 ct comes with a GIA or IGI grading report.
By hand in London, or by insured courier anywhere in the UK.
The journal
Short reads on stones, metals and living with fine jewellery, written by the people who make it.
