About the site

An independent design concept for a five-star hotel in Doha, built as a cinematic homepage. It opens on an arrival film and the line “A world of your own,” then moves through the four things guests come for: stay, dine, unwind and discover.

The idea

Big hotel groups tend to bury their best visuals under booking widgets. This concept flips that: film and photography first, with the booking and offers buttons always within reach but never in the way.

What we built, section by section

  1. 01

    Arrival

The hero film — “A world of your own.”

  2. 02

    Stay

    A carousel of rooms and suites with a 01 / 03 counter.

  3. 03

    Dine

    “An appetite for the exceptional.”

  4. 04

    Restaurants

    Three venue cards.

  5. 05

    Unwind

The spa — “The city fades. You return.”

  6. 06

    Discover

    The beach and experiences.

  7. 07

    Your next beautiful memory

    The closing call to action.

Features

  • Video hero
  • Room and suite carousel with counter
  • Image-led dining cards
  • Booking and offers buttons
  • Skip link and anchor navigation

Look and feel

Deep teal with warm photography; refined, cinematic and aspirational.

Under the bonnet

  • HTML5 video and WebP images
  • Hand-coded carousel
  • Kept out of search results (noindex) as a concept

Like everything I build, it’s made from scratch. No page builder, no theme. So it’s quick, it works on phones first, and it’s easy to change later.
