About the site

The Surrey Residence is a private home in development, valued at £13 million, with sculpted terraces, huge glazing and a rooftop helipad. The site introduces it as “a new perspective”: the visitor scrolls and the house itself moves on screen, frame by frame.

The idea

A property that isn’t finished yet is hard to sell with photographs. Instead the page is a short story in three chapters — the vision, the experience, a sense of place — driven by the owner’s own film. Where the visuals are imagined (the helicopter arrival and the spa), the site says so plainly.

What we built, section by section

  1. 01

    A new perspective

The hero, with a chapter counter, the price, a scroll prompt and “Watch the film”.

  2. 02

    01 — The vision

“Space to live. Freedom to imagine.” Terraces, glazing and the helipad.

  3. 03

    Property facts

Location, value, status and the signature feature at a glance.

  4. 04

    02 — The experience

“Life, on another level.” The art of arrival, and a private retreat.

  5. 05

    03 — A sense of place

Privacy, open views and the house in its Surrey landscape.

  6. 06

    The finer details

A pop-up panel with the key facts and what’s still to be confirmed.

Features

  • Scroll-scrubbed image sequence of the house
  • Owner’s film on demand
  • Numbered chapters with an on-screen counter
  • Expandable concept cards
  • Details pop-up panel
  • Honest labelling of AI-generated visuals

Look and feel

A deep olive-charcoal palette that sits naturally with the landscape. Headings are short and poetic, often finishing on an italic word, with numbered chapter labels — quiet luxury rather than estate-agent hard sell.

Under the bonnet

  • Canvas image-sequence playback tied to scroll
  • Frame-numbered JPEG sequence, preloaded progressively
  • Hand-coded, no framework
  • Smooth in-page anchors

Like everything I build, it’s made from scratch. No page builder, no theme. So it’s quick, it works on phones first, and it’s easy to change later.
